May Marival Resorts Social Media FAM Recap
When people think about FAM trips, they often think of tons of site inspections, room tours, and resort training after resort training. While those elements are important, The Social Passport FAM is designed with a much bigger purpose in mind.
Yes, we learn the destination. Yes, we experience the resorts. But we also focus on helping travel advisors become more confident content creators, stronger marketers, and more connected business owners.
Our Puerto Vallarta FAM at Villa Premiere was filled with incredible experiences, meaningful conversations, and countless moments that reminded us why investing in yourself and your business matters.
Here's a look back at the week:

Day 1: Arriving in Paradise & Building Connections
The week officially kicked off with early mornings, a couple of flight delays, and a whole lot of excitement, but everyone made it! Advisors checked in with a glass of bubbly and a welcome massage, which is exactly how a trip should start.
Some advisors arrived a little early and used the extra time to relax by the pool or the beach, or just soak up some downtime in their Honeymoon Suites before the week got going.
We kicked things off with a site inspection of Villa Premiere and their sister property next door, which was such a great one to see in person since All-Inclusive package guests at Villa Premiere have exchange privileges there.
From there, we headed straight into a private mixology class with Enrique, the head mixologist, who started us off strong with a tequila tasting before the class even began.
The day wrapped up with dinner at La Perla, the resort's upscale sports bar, for a themed night: In the Clouds. Everyone showed up looking amazing, and the energy of this group was already through the roof.
Before the trainings begin and before the content starts rolling, relationships need to be built. That's exactly what day one is for.

Day 2: Education Meets Experience
Day two started bright and early with a trip to Vista Vallarta Club de Golf for breakfast, a golf clinic, and a putt-putt tournament. Everyone had an absolute blast, and yes, there was a hole-in-one involved.
Back at the resort, we moved into social media training, digging into strategy, reels, editing, stories, and everything advisors need to start showing up more confidently online.
Then came one of the week's highlights: a private tortilla-making class. Everyone made their own tortillas from scratch and then got to eat the tacos the chef whipped up using them. It's the kind of activity that's simple, hands-on, genuinely fun, and it made for some great content, too.
On these FAMs, we always build in plenty of downtime for open social media work, content capture, resort immersion, relaxation, or catching up on editing and emails. That's exactly how the afternoon went, followed by some video filming and time at the swim-up bar.
One advisor summed up exactly why that built-in time matters so much:
"This fam was great because we stayed at 1 resort, we got to really experience it as every moment was not packed and we got to make content and ask for feedback and input. That time was so useful!"
For dinner, the group walked over to the sister property for Mexican Fiesta night, complete with food stations, live music, entertainment, and even a balloon artist. Everyone nailed the night's theme, Tequila Sunset, and the evening closed out with fireworks on the beach.
Clients don't book features. They book feelings. Days like this are exactly why that lesson sticks.

Day 3: Content, Connection & Closing Out in Style
The final full day started with breakfast at the resort before heading out to Planeta Cacao for a chocolate tour. Advisors learned about the history of chocolate, sampled a variety of it, and even made their own a fun, low-key way to experience local culture together.
Back at the resort, the afternoon was dedicated to more social media training followed by serious content capture time. Advisors were filming lip-sync videos, grabbing b-roll on the beach, and clearly having fun with every bit of it. That's usually when the best content happens once advisors have relaxed into the week and stopped overthinking the camera.
As one advisor put it afterward:
"It wasn't just about touring a resort. We explored the city, went on the most fun excursions, and created content that actually tells a story. I loved learning more about how to capture and edit content in a way that feels authentic. If you're even a little on the fence… do it. It's so worth it!"
Since it was the last night, Villa Premiere surprised the group with a special dinner at the Chef's Table. Between the food, a round of Two Truths and a Lie, and a few speeches and awards, it was the perfect way to close out the trip.
As always, the hardest part of a Social Passport FAM is saying goodbye to a group this good, and the immediate talk of a reunion trip.
More Than Just a FAM Trip
As the week came to a close, advisors left with more than destination knowledge and a content bank full of new material.
They left with confidence.
They left with new friendships.
They left with fresh ideas for their business.
They left with a support system that will keep showing up in their DMs and group chats long after this trip.
That's the difference between attending a FAM and experiencing a Social Passport FAM.
Advisor Feedback
"Joining Kyla's Social Media FAM through Social Passport was an easy yes. As someone who already follows her content, I knew exactly what I was signing up for: real, grounded guidance from someone who actually walks the walk. She's authentic, generous with her knowledge, and genuinely invested in helping attendees show up the same way with their own content. The question she posed that stuck with me most: anyone can record anything, but what story are you sharing? That reframe changed how I think about everything I post. I couldn't recommend this experience more!"
